December 16 Zumobi Goes Beta...!!!!!Zumobi is a mobile based browser, targerted for windows 5.0 & 6.0 based mobile phones, and also support apple iphone & blackberry. The zumobi beta was realeased on 14th December, 2007, and is very soon expected to capture the market with its final version release. Knol from Google.....!!!!!!Google is planning to hit the world adding another feather to its cap, and this time its the new webservice called knol. This might go a long way as a competitor for Wikipedia, as it aims to be a repository of knowledge from experts on various topics. I feel Google entry into the market with such tools will result in expanding its horizons to a great extent, And on the other hand critics comments that, this might even result in compromise with google's objectivity on its searching standards. October 18 Windows Mobile: Is the first to make an entry to my blogIt's been awhile I've created this blog and not made an entry to it. I was taking time to do it by posting about WINDOWS MOBILE
 . As that i now working on windows mobile (Microsoft Mobile Embedded Community Lead for Hyderabad Chapter), i would justify myself by doing so and atlast made a start. In this article i will just make a try to give you an overview & insight about this windows mobile.Windows Mobile is an compact operating system, which is now available with a set of applications specially developed for windows mobile devices. These applications that are readly available with windows mobile operating system for mobile devices are based on win 32 API. These windows API's come into picture when an OS interacts with a system application, and about these WIN32 API's i shall talk later leasurely as i dont want to get myself diverted from this mobile as i already took a long time to start it. This windows mobile is same as your desktop operating system,but it is more developed keeping mobile devices in mind. You might be thinking about the differences, see when we talk about mobile devices, we have few constraints that are to be considered like size and memory (2 most important constraints). So these constraints are given very high priority when programming with mobile devices.
This windows mobile OS when installed on a mobile device, gives it a advanced and most powerfull features like send and receive email, browse the web and you can also work on mobile versions of office softwares apart from making and receiving calls. With all this being made available on your mobile device, what else we want, and its left to you individuals to decide when and where to work, which sounds great hhmmmm as i knew you all will like to lead that life.
The main reason for this mobile revolution to start is to have access to all your information even when your on move and all this is changing the way that work gets done and so do we live. As this is my start, i dont want to go more technical. We have different versions of Mobile operating systems,like for Smart Phones and Pocket PC and you got to choose your OS depending on your device. With all these scaled down to your device, we are able to play with technologies like bluetooth, infrared and wifi. Its been a long time now that 'BLUETOOTH' has been in my mind, as i wrote few technical papers on it and also presented it, and so would like to practically try by having hands on it with a couple of devices: want to have a feel of it in this latest mobile world.
Actually windows mobile operating system is a platform that allows you to purchase 3rd party softwares, build and customize your device. We have a separate set of softwares that are targeted for windows mobile, like windows office suite which allow us to create mobile Word files, make Excel Mobile charts, and view PowerPoint presentations. Now i am excited to have a device with windows mobile OS installed on it to just play around with all these.
